﴿فِيٓ أَدۡنَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِهِمۡ سَيَغۡلِبُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 3]
﴿في أدنى الأرض وهم من بعد غلبهم سيغلبون﴾ [الرُّوم: 3]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir In a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome |
| Mohammad Shafi In the nearby land. But they (the Romans), after this defeat of theirs, shall gain victory |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall In the nearer land, and they, after their defeat will be victorious |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani in the nearer land; and they, after their defeat, will triumph |
| Muhammad Asad in the lands close-by; yet it is they who, notwithstanding this their defeat, shall be victorious |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali In the more adjacent (i.e., more easy to reach; the Levant) (part) of the earth. And even after their being overcome, they will overcome (the others) |
