﴿فِيٓ أَدۡنَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِهِمۡ سَيَغۡلِبُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 3]
﴿في أدنى الأرض وهم من بعد غلبهم سيغلبون﴾ [الرُّوم: 3]
| Abdel Haleem in a nearby land. They will reverse their defeat with a victory |
| Abdul Hye in the nearest land (of Syria), but after their defeat, they (Allah revealed to Muhammad that Romans) will be victorious |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi In a nearer land; and they, after the overcoming of them, shall soon overcome |
| Ahmed Ali In the neighbouring land. But having been conquered they will conquer |
| Aisha Bewley in the land nearby, but after their defeat they will themselves be victorious |
| A. J. Arberry in the nearer part of the land; and, after their vanquishing, they shall be the victors |
| Ali Quli Qarai in a nearby territory, but following their defeat they will be victors |
