| أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ (1) (O Prophet), Did We not lay open your breast |
| وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ (2) and relieve you of the burden |
| الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ (3) that had well-nigh broken your back |
| وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ (4) And did We not exalt your fame |
| فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (5) Indeed, there is ease with hardship |
| إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (6) Most certainly, there is ease with hardship |
| فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ (7) So, whenever you are free, strive in devotion |
| وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب (8) and turn to your Lord with longing |
