﴿وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤۡمِنٖ وَلَا مُؤۡمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ أَمۡرًا أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡخِيَرَةُ مِنۡ أَمۡرِهِمۡۗ وَمَن يَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ ضَلَٰلٗا مُّبِينٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 36]
﴿وما كان لمؤمن ولا مؤمنة إذا قضى الله ورسوله أمرا أن يكون﴾ [الأحزَاب: 36]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And it behoves not a believing man and a believing woman that they should have any choice in their matter when Allah and His Apostle have decided a matter; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle, he surely strays off a manifest straying |
Mohammad Shafi And it behoves not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah — and His Messenger — has decided an affair, to exercise a choice in their matter. And whoever revolts against Allah and His Messenger, he surely and clearly goes astray |
