﴿أَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[المَائدة: 40]
﴿ألم تعلم أن الله له ملك السموات والأرض يعذب من يشاء ويغفر﴾ [المَائدة: 40]
| Abdel Haleem Do you [Prophet] not know that control of the heavens and earth belongs solely to God? He punishes whoever He will and forgives whoever He will: God has power over everything |
| Abdul Hye Do you not know that to Allah alone belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and He forgives whom He wills. And Allah is All-Powerful over every thing |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Knowest thou not that to Allah (alone) belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punisheth whom He pleaseth, and He forgiveth whom He pleaseth: and Allah hath power over all things |
