Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 248 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 2
﴿وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ نَبِيُّهُمۡ إِنَّ ءَايَةَ مُلۡكِهِۦٓ أَن يَأۡتِيَكُمُ ٱلتَّابُوتُ فِيهِ سَكِينَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَبَقِيَّةٞ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ءَالُ مُوسَىٰ وَءَالُ هَٰرُونَ تَحۡمِلُهُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 248]
﴿وقال لهم نبيهم إن آية ملكه أن يأتيكم التابوت فيه سكينة من﴾ [البَقَرَة: 248]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And the prophet said to them: Surely the sign of His kingdom is, that there shall come to you the chest in which there is tranquillity from your Lord and residue of the relics of what the children of Musa and the children of Haroun have left, the angels bearing it; most surely there is a sign in this for those who believe |
| Mohammad Shafi And their Prophet told them, "Indeed, the sign of his getting the kingdom would be that a box shall come to you containing reassuring things from your Lord and the remnants of what was left behind by the families of Moses and Aaron. The box will be borne by the angels. There is indeed a sign in this for you, if you do believe |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And their Prophet said unto them: Lo! the token of his kingdom is that there shall come unto you the ark wherein is peace of reassurance from your Lord, and a remnant of that which the house of Moses and the house of Aaron left behind, the angels bearing it. | Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali And their Prophet said to them, "Surely the sign of his kingship is that the coffer (In earlier Scriptures it is said to be the " Ark", and Serenity is said to be "Shechina") will come up to you; in it (are) a Serenity from your Lord, and a remnant of what the house of Musa (Moses) and the house of Harun (Aaron) left (behind), the Angels carrying it. Surely in that is indeed a sign for you, in case you are believers |
