Quran with British translation - Surah An-Naml ayat 60 - النَّمل - Page - Juz 20
﴿أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةٖ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ يَعۡدِلُونَ ﴾
[النَّمل: 60]
﴿أمن خلق السموات والأرض وأنـزل لكم من السماء ماء فأنبتنا به حدائق﴾ [النَّمل: 60]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Nay, He Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water from the cloud; then We cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens; it is not possible for you that you should make the trees thereof to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! they are people who deviate |
Mohammad Shafi Is there any god worthy of worship besides Allah — Allah Who it is that has created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water from the skies, and then therewith We cause — it is not in your power to make those trees grow — beautiful gardens to grow? But yet they are a people who equate others with Allah |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him) |

Muhammad Asad Nay - who is it that has created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you [life-giving] water from the skies? For it is by this means that We cause gardens of shining beauty to grow - [whereas] it is not in your power to cause [even one single of] its trees to grow! Could there be any divine power besides God? Nay, they [who think so] are people who swerve [from the path of reason] |
Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Is not He the (Most Charitable) Who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you from the heaven water? So We caused to grow therewith enclosed orchards, full (Literally: owing, comprising) of delight. In no way can you germinate its trees. Is there a god with Allah? No indeed, (but) they are a people who (unjustly) set up equals to Him |
Muhammad Sarwar (Are the idols worthier or) the One who has created the heavens and the earth, who has sent water from the sky for you, who has established delightful gardens and you could not even plant one tree? Is there any Lord besides God? In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who deviate from the right path |

Safi Kaskas Is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth? Who sent down rain from the sky for you, causing gardens full of beauty to grow; you could not have grown the trees on your own. Is there another god alongside God? [No], but there are people who take others to be equal to Him |
