﴿أَوۡ يُزَوِّجُهُمۡ ذُكۡرَانٗا وَإِنَٰثٗاۖ وَيَجۡعَلُ مَن يَشَآءُ عَقِيمًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٞ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 50]
﴿أو يزوجهم ذكرانا وإناثا ويجعل من يشاء عقيما إنه عليم قدير﴾ [الشُّوري: 50]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Or He makes them of both sorts, male and female; and He makes whom He pleases barren; surely He is the Knowing, the Powerful |
| Mohammad Shafi Or, He [Allah] gives a mixed, male and female, offspring, and makes whom He wills barren. He does indeed know everything, can do anything |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Or He mingleth them, males and females, and He maketh barren whom He will. Lo! He is Knower, Powerful |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Or He combines for them couples, both males and females, and makes whom He wills barren. Surely, He is All-Knowing, Very-Powerful |
| Muhammad Asad or He gives both male and female [to whomever He wills], and causes to be barren whomever He wills: for, verily, He is all-knowing, infinite in His power |
