Quran with British translation - Surah At-Taghabun ayat 6 - التغَابُن - Page - Juz 28
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٞ يَهۡدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُواْ وَتَوَلَّواْۖ وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٞ ﴾
[التغَابُن: 6]
﴿ذلك بأنه كانت تأتيهم رسلهم بالبينات فقالوا أبشر يهدوننا فكفروا وتولوا واستغنى﴾ [التغَابُن: 6]
Mohammad Habib Shakir That is because there came to them their apostles with clear arguments, but they said: Shall mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned back, and Allah does not stand in need (of anything), and Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised |
Mohammad Shafi That is because their Messengers (from Allah) had come to them with clear signs, but they said, "Shall a mere human guide us?" So they suppressed the Truth and turned away! And Allah is in no need of anyone or anything. And Allah is Self-sufficient, Embodiment of Praise |
