Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Kahf ayat 12 - الكَهف - Page - Juz 15
﴿ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَٰهُمۡ لِنَعۡلَمَ أَيُّ ٱلۡحِزۡبَيۡنِ أَحۡصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓاْ أَمَدٗا ﴾
[الكَهف: 12]
﴿ثم بعثناهم لنعلم أي الحزبين أحصى لما لبثوا أمدا﴾ [الكَهف: 12]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Then We woke them, in order to make evident which of the two groups were best at calculating the term of years they had stayed |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Then We woke them up, so that We know which of the two groups was better at counting the time they stayed (asleep) |
| Ali Quli Qarai Then We aroused them that We might know which of the two groups better reckoned the period they had stayed |
| Ali Unal Then We raised them up, (and dividing into two groups, they discussed how long they had remained in that state). We willed to make known which of the two groups were (more consciousness of time with the events in it, and therefore) better in computing for what period they had remained (in this state) |
| Hamid S Aziz Then We raised them up again, that We might know which of the two parties could best calculate the time of their tarrying |
| John Medows Rodwell Then we awaked them that we might know which of the two parties could best reckon the space of their abiding |
| Literal Then We sent/resurrected/revived them to know which (of) the two groups/parties (is) more counting/controlling to what time they remained/waited |
| Mir Anees Original Then We raised them up that We might know (mark out) which of the two parties was better at calculating the time for which they stayed |
