﴿قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 36]
﴿قالوا أرجه وأخاه وابعث في المدائن حاشرين﴾ [الشعراء: 36]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They said, “Keep him and his brother in suspense for a while, and dispatch to the cities, gatherers to collect– |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They said: put him and his brother off (for a while) and send gatherers to the cities |
| Ali Quli Qarai They said, ‘Put him and his brother off for a while, and send heralds to the cities |
| Ali Unal They said: "Put him and his brother off for a while, and (in the meantime) send forth heralds to all cities |
| Hamid S Aziz They said, "Put him off a while, him and his brother, and send into the cities |
| John Medows Rodwell They said, "Put him and his brother off awhile, and send summoners to all the cities |
| Literal They said: "Delay/postpone him and his brother and send in the villages/urban cities gatherers |
