Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nisa’ ayat 37 - النِّسَاء - Page - Juz 5
﴿ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ وَيَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبُخۡلِ وَيَكۡتُمُونَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦۗ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٗا مُّهِينٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 37]
﴿الذين يبخلون ويأمرون الناس بالبخل ويكتمون ما آتاهم الله من فضله وأعتدنا﴾ [النِّسَاء: 37]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Nor those who are greedy or recommend greediness to others, or hide the bounties which God has bestowed on them. We have prepared for those who reject it, a crushing punishment |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Those who are stingy and instruct people to stinginess and hide what God gave them from His grace, (know that) We prepared a humiliating punishment for the disbelievers |
| Ali Quli Qarai —Those who are [themselves] stingy and bid [other] people to be stingy, and conceal whatever Allah has given them out of His bounty; and We have prepared for the faithless a humiliating punishment |
| Ali Unal Those who act meanly (in spending out of what God has granted them) and urge others to be mean, and conceal the things God has granted them out of His bounty (such as wealth or knowledge, and certain truths in their Book). We have prepared for (such) unbelievers a shameful, humiliating punishment |
| Hamid S Aziz Who hoard their wealth and bid men to (or promote) avarice, and who hide what Allah has given them of His Bounty. We have prepared for the disbelievers a shameful woe |
| John Medows Rodwell Who are niggardly themselves, and bid others be niggards, and hide away what God of his bounty hath given them. We have made ready a shameful chastisement for the unbelievers |
| Literal Those who are being stingy/miser, and order/command the people with the stinginess/miserliness and they hide/conceal what God gave them from His grace/favour/blessing, and We prepared to the disbelievers a despised torture |
| Mir Anees Original those who hoard (their wealth being miserly) and enjoin (other) people (also) to hoard, and hide that which Allah has given them of His grace, and We have prepared a disgraceful punishment for the infidels |
