﴿ثُمَّ صَدَقۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡوَعۡدَ فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 9]
﴿ثم صدقناهم الوعد فأنجيناهم ومن نشاء وأهلكنا المسرفين﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 9]
| Abdel Haleem We fulfilled Our promise to them in the end: We saved them and those We wished to save, and We destroyed those who exceeded all bounds |
| Abdul Hye Then We fulfilled to them the promise. We saved them, and those whom We willed, but We destroyed the extravagant |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Then We made good unto them the premise; so We delivered them and those whom We willed, and We destroyed the extravagant |
| Ahmed Ali Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors |
