Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Anbiya’ ayat 9 - الأنبيَاء - Page - Juz 17
﴿ثُمَّ صَدَقۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡوَعۡدَ فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 9]
﴿ثم صدقناهم الوعد فأنجيناهم ومن نشاء وأهلكنا المسرفين﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 9]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al In the end, We fulfilled Our promise to them, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We caused to perish those who transgressed beyond bounds |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Then We fulfilled the promise (We made) to them and saved them and anyone We wanted, and We destroyed the excessive ones |
| Ali Quli Qarai Then We fulfilled Our promise to them, and We delivered them and whomever We wished, and We destroyed the transgressors |
| Ali Unal We promised them help and victory and We kept Our promise: We saved them and all whom We willed (and bound Ourselves to save – the believers), and We destroyed those who wasted their God-given faculties and committed excesses |
| Hamid S Aziz Yet We made Our promise to them good, and We saved them and whom We pleased; but We destroyed those who committed excesses |
| John Medows Rodwell Then made we good our promise to them; and we delivered them and whom we pleased, and we destroyed the transgressors |
| Literal Then We were truthful to them (in) the promise, so We saved/rescued them and whom We will/want, and We destroyed the wasters/extravagators |
