﴿قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 36]
﴿قالوا أرجه وأخاه وابعث في المدائن حاشرين﴾ [الشعراء: 36]
| Abdel Haleem They answered, ‘Delay him and his brother for a while, and send messengers to all the cities |
| Abdul Hye They said: “Put him off and his brother (for a while), and send callers to the cities |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while), and dispatch to the Cities heralds to collect |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They said: put off him and his brother, and send unto the cities callers |
| Ahmed Ali They said: "Put him and his brother off awhile, and send summoners to the cities to gather |
| Aisha Bewley They said, ´Detain him and his brother and send out marshals to the cities |
