﴿وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّمَا نُمۡلِي لَهُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لِّأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ إِنَّمَا نُمۡلِي لَهُمۡ لِيَزۡدَادُوٓاْ إِثۡمٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 178]
﴿ولا يحسبن الذين كفروا أنما نملي لهم خير لأنفسهم إنما نملي لهم﴾ [آل عِمران: 178]
| Abdel Haleem The disbelievers should not think that it is better for them that We give them more time: when We give them more time they become more sinful- a shameful torment awaits them |
| Abdul Hye Let not those who disbelieve think that We give respite to them (by postponing punishment) are good for them. We give respite to them so that they may add more sins. For them is a humiliating punishment |
