﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤۡذُونَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ بِغَيۡرِ مَا ٱكۡتَسَبُواْ فَقَدِ ٱحۡتَمَلُواْ بُهۡتَٰنٗا وَإِثۡمٗا مُّبِينٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 58]
﴿والذين يؤذون المؤمنين والمؤمنات بغير ما اكتسبوا فقد احتملوا بهتانا وإثما مبينا﴾ [الأحزَاب: 58]
| Abdel Haleem and those who undeservedly insult believing men and women will bear the guilt of slander and flagrant sin |
| Abdul Hye Those who annoy believing men and believing women without any fault of theirs, then indeed they shall bear the crime of slander and plain sin |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin |
| Ahmed Ali Those who slander believing men and women for what they have not done, will bear the burden of calumny and clear iniquity |
| Aisha Bewley And those who abuse men and women who are muminun, when they have not merited it, bear the weight of slander and clear wrongdoing |
| A. J. Arberry And those who hurt believing men and believing women, without that they have earned it, have laid upon themselves calumny and manifest sin |
