﴿وَكَيۡفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكۡمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 43]
﴿وكيف يحكمونك وعندهم التوراة فيها حكم الله ثم يتولون من بعد ذلك﴾ [المَائدة: 43]
Abdel Haleem but why do they come to you for judgement when they have the Torah with God’s judgement, and even then still turn away? These are not believers |
Abdul Hye But how they appoint you a judge while they have with them the Torah, in which there is the decision of Allah? Even after that, they turn away. Those are not believers |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) law before them?- therein is the (plain) command of Allah; yet even after that, they would turn away. For they are not (really) People of Faith |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi And how shall they ask thee for judgement, whereas with them is the Taurat wherein is Allah's judgement? And they turn away thereafter? And those are no believers |
