﴿وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ ﴾

﴿وأصحاب المشأمة ما أصحاب المشأمة﴾ [الوَاقِعة: 9]
| Abdel Haleem Those on the Left––what people they are |
| Abdul Hye and those on the left hand (receive their records in left hands) who will be those on the left hand (will go to hell) |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be |
