﴿ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلٗا لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱمۡرَأَتَ نُوحٖ وَٱمۡرَأَتَ لُوطٖۖ كَانَتَا تَحۡتَ عَبۡدَيۡنِ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا صَٰلِحَيۡنِ فَخَانَتَاهُمَا فَلَمۡ يُغۡنِيَا عَنۡهُمَا مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗا وَقِيلَ ٱدۡخُلَا ٱلنَّارَ مَعَ ٱلدَّٰخِلِينَ ﴾
[التَّحرِيم: 10]
﴿ضرب الله مثلا للذين كفروا امرأة نوح وامرأة لوط كانتا تحت عبدين﴾ [التَّحرِيم: 10]
| Abdel Haleem God has given examples of disbelievers: the wives of Noah and Lot who married two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them. Their husbands could not help them against God: it was said, ‘Both of you enter the Fire with the others.’ |
| Abdul Hye Allah has set forth an example for the disbelievers: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under 2 of Allah’s righteous servants, but they both betrayed them (husbands by rejecting their doctrine). So they (Noah and Lot) could not protect them (their wives) from Allah at all, and it was said (to them): “Enter the fire along with those who enter!” |
