﴿فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا غَٰفِلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 136]
﴿فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليم بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 136]
| Abdel Haleem And so, because they rejected Our signs and paid them no heed, We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea |
| Abdul Hye So We took retribution from them and drowned them in the sea, because they denied Our Verses and they were heedless about them |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them |
