Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 136 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا غَٰفِلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 136]
﴿فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليم بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 136]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So We took retribution from them and We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our signs and failed to take warning from them |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So We took revenge from them and drowned them in the sea, because they denied Our miracles and they were negligent of them |
| Ali Quli Qarai So We took vengeance on them and drowned them in the sea, for they denied Our signs and were oblivious to them |
| Ali Unal So We inflicted Our retribution on them (just as they deserved), and so caused them to drown in the sea, as they denied Our signs (with willful persistence) and were heedless of them |
| Hamid S Aziz But We took retribution from them, and We drowned them in the sea because they rejected Our Signs, and were careless thereof |
| John Medows Rodwell Therefore we took vengeance on them and drowned them in the sea, because they treated our signs as falsehoods and were heedless of them |
| Literal So We revenged/punished from them, so We drowned/sunk them in the body of water (river/sea/lake) because they denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences , and they were from it ignoring/disregarding |
