Nor can a people or a nation hasten their own end of - Surah Al-hijr ayat 5 in Tafsir

﴿مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ ﴾
[الحِجر: 5]

Nor can a people or a nation hasten their own end of ultimate state earlier than the predetermined due date nor can they delay it either

﴿ما تسبق من أمة أجلها وما يستأخرون﴾ [الحِجر: 5]
