﴿مَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِتَشۡقَىٰٓ ﴾

﴿ما أنـزلنا عليك القرآن لتشقى﴾ [طه: 2]
| Dr Kamal Omar We did not deliver unto you Al-Quran that you be distressed |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar We caused not the Quran to descend to thee that thee be in despair |
| Dr Munir Munshey We have revealed to you this Qur´an, not to cause you distress |
| Edward Henry Palmer We have not sent down this Qur'an to thee that thou shouldst be wretched |
| Farook Malik We have not sent down this Qur’an to put you to trouble |
| George Sale We have not sent down the Koran unto thee, that thou shouldest be unhappy |
