﴿ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِثۡلَهُنَّۖ يَتَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ بَيۡنَهُنَّ لِتَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عِلۡمَۢا ﴾
[الطَّلَاق: 12]
﴿الله الذي خلق سبع سموات ومن الأرض مثلهن يتنـزل الأمر بينهن لتعلموا﴾ [الطَّلَاق: 12]
| Dr Kamal Omar Allah is That Who created seven (or many) heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e., seven or many). The order (controlling various activities) descends amongst them (all) so that you (O human beings!) realise that Allah is All-Capable over everything. And that Allah has indeed comprehended every thing in Knowledge (available in Him) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar It is God Who created the seven heavens and of the earth, a similar number like them. The command comes forth between them so that perhaps you would know that God is Powerful over everything and that God, truly, enclosed everything in His Knowledge |
