﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ سَيَنَالُهُمۡ غَضَبٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَذِلَّةٞ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُفۡتَرِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 152]
﴿إن الذين اتخذوا العجل سينالهم غضب من ربهم وذلة في الحياة الدنيا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 152]
| Dr Kamal Omar Certainly those who took the calf (in cow-worship): soon, will reach them wrath from their Nourisher-Sustainer and humiliation in the life of this world. And thus We reward those who invent lies (in the name of religion) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Those who took the calf to themselves attain anger from their Lord and abasement in this present life. And, thus, We give recompense to the ones who devise |
| Dr Munir Munshey The wrath of their Lord, and a disgrace in the life of this world would soon land upon those who chose (to worship) the calf. This is how We punish those who invent falsehood |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, these have taken to themselves a calf; there shall reach them wrath from their Lord, and abasement in the life of this world; for thus do we reward those who forge a lie |
