Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 152 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ سَيَنَالُهُمۡ غَضَبٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَذِلَّةٞ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُفۡتَرِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 152]
﴿إن الذين اتخذوا العجل سينالهم غضب من ربهم وذلة في الحياة الدنيا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 152]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Those who took the calf will indeed be overwhelmed with punishment from their Lord, and with shame in this life. This is how We reward those who deceive |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Those who took the calf (as god) are going to receive their Master’s anger and humiliation in this world's life. That is how We punish those who make up lies (and attribute them to God) |
Ali Quli Qarai Indeed those who took up the calf [for worship] shall be overtaken by their Lord’s wrath and abasement in the life of the world.’ Thus do We requite the fabricators [of lies] |
Ali Unal Those who adopted the calf for worship – a severe punishment and condemnation from their Lord will indeed overtake them, and humiliation in this life of the world. Thus do We recompense those who fabricate falsehood (in attribution to God) |
Hamid S Aziz Verily, those who have taken to themselves a calf, there shall reach them wrath from their Lord, and abasement in the life of this world; for thus do we reward those who forge a lie |
John Medows Rodwell Verily as to those who took the calf as a god, wrath from their Lord shall overtake them, and shame in this present life: for thus recompense we the devisers of a lie |
Literal That those who took/received the calf, anger from their Lord will take/receive/obtain them, and humiliation/disgrace in the life the present/worldly life, and like that We reward/reimburse the fabricators |
Mir Anees Original Those who took the calf (for worship), anger from their Fosterer will certainly reach them and (also) disgrace in the life of this world. And thus do We reward those who invent lies |
