﴿قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ ﴾

﴿قتل أصحاب الأخدود﴾ [البُرُوج: 4]
| Dr Kamal Omar Stand condemned the people (who acted as perpetrators) of the sites of the ditches and trenches |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar the Companions of the Ditch were slain |
| Dr Munir Munshey Doomed are the people of the ditch |
| Edward Henry Palmer The fellows of the pit were slain |
| Farook Malik Doomed be the makers of the ditch |
| George Sale cursed were the contrivers of the pit |
| Maududi the people of the pit were destroyed |
