﴿تِلۡكَ أُمَّةٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتۡ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبۡتُمۡۖ وَلَا تُسۡـَٔلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 134]
﴿تلك أمة قد خلت لها ما كسبت ولكم ما كسبتم ولا تسألون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 134]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir This is a people that have passed away; they shall have what they earned and you shall have what you earn, and you shall not be called upon to answer for what they did |
| Mohammad Shafi That was a community, now dead and gone! To it what it earned, and to you what you have earned. And you shall not be questioned on what they did |
