﴿قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِي فَٱغۡفِرۡ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴾
[القَصَص: 16]
﴿قال رب إني ظلمت نفسي فاغفر لي فغفر له إنه هو الغفور﴾ [القَصَص: 16]
Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: My Lord! surely I have done harm to myself, so do Thou protect me. So He protected him; surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful |
Mohammad Shafi Moses said, "My Lord! I have indeed wronged my own self, so forgive me. HE then forgave him. HE is indeed the One forgiving, merciful |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: My Lord! Lo! I have wronged my soul, so forgive me. Then He forgave him. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful |
Mufti Taqi Usmani He said, “O my Lord, I have wronged myself, so forgive me.” So He forgave him. Indeed He is the most Forgiving, Very-Merciful |
