Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Qasas ayat 19 - القَصَص - Page - Juz 20
﴿فَلَمَّآ أَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَبۡطِشَ بِٱلَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوّٞ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقۡتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسَۢا بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۖ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡلِحِينَ ﴾

﴿فلما أن أراد أن يبطش بالذي هو عدو لهما قال ياموسى أتريد﴾ [القَصَص: 19]
Mohammad Habib Shakir So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: O Musa! do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You desire nothing but that you should be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be of those who act aright |
Mohammad Shafi And when he (Moses) intended to attack the man who was an enemy to them both, that man said, "O Moses! Would you kill me as you did kill a person yesterday? You intend nothing but to be a tyrant in the land. And you intend not to be a reformer |
