Quran with British translation - Surah Ar-Rum ayat 47 - الرُّوم - Page - Juz 21
﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِمۡ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيۡنَا نَصۡرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 47]
﴿ولقد أرسلنا من قبلك رسلا إلى قومهم فجاءوهم بالبينات فانتقمنا من الذين﴾ [الرُّوم: 47]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And certainly We sent before you apostles to their people, so they came to them with clear arguments, then We gave the punishment to those who were guilty; and helping the believers is ever incumbent on Us |
| Mohammad Shafi And, before you, We did send Messengers to their respective peoples. And they came to them with clear signs. Then We punished the criminals. And it was incumbent on Us to help the believers |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Verily We sent before thee (Muhammad) messengers to their own folk. Then we took vengeance upon those who were guilty (in regard to them). To help believers is ever incumbent upon Us |

| Muhammad Sarwar (Muhammad), We had sent before you Our Messengers to their people. The Messengers showed them clear miracles and We took revenge on the criminals. It was necessary for Us to help the believers |

| Safi Kaskas We have already sent messengers to the people who came before you, and they came to them with clear evidence. Then, We imposed retribution on those who severed relations with Us, for We have taken it upon Ourselves to help the believers |
