﴿۞ لَّا خَيۡرَ فِي كَثِيرٖ مِّن نَّجۡوَىٰهُمۡ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوۡ مَعۡرُوفٍ أَوۡ إِصۡلَٰحِۭ بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِۚ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ ٱللَّهِ فَسَوۡفَ نُؤۡتِيهِ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 114]
﴿لا خير في كثير من نجواهم إلا من أمر بصدقة أو معروف﴾ [النِّسَاء: 114]
Mohammad Habib Shakir There is no good in most of their secret counsels except (in his) who enjoins charity or goodness or reconciliation between people; and whoever does this seeking Allah's pleasure, We will give him a mighty reward |
Mohammad Shafi No good in most of their secret talks except for one that would lead to an act of charity, propriety or reconciliation between people. And whoever does this for Allah's pleasure, We will give him a great reward |
