Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Mujadilah ayat 5 - المُجَادلة - Page - Juz 28
﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَآدُّونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ كُبِتُواْ كَمَا كُبِتَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ وَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖۚ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ ﴾
[المُجَادلة: 5]
﴿إن الذين يحادون الله ورسوله كبتوا كما كبت الذين من قبلهم وقد﴾ [المُجَادلة: 5]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Surely those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle shall be laid down prostrate as those before them were laid down prostrate; and indeed We have revealed clear communications, and the unbelievers shall have an abasing chastisement |
| Mohammad Shafi Those indeed who work against Allah and His Messenger will be destroyed as those before them were. And We have surely sent down clear Verses/signs. And for those who suppress the Truth, a disgraceful punishment |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Lo! those who oppose Allah and His messenger will be abased even as those before them were abased; and We have sent down clear tokens, and for disbelievers is a shameful doom |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Surely those who oppose Allah and His Messenger shall be disgraced, just as those before them were disgraced. We have sent down clear verses, and for the disbelievers there is a humiliating punishment |
| Muhammad Asad Verily, those who contend against God and His Apostle shall be brought low even as those [evildoers] who lived before them were brought low after We had bestowed [on them] clear messages from on high. And [so,] for those who deny the truth there will be shameful suffering in store |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Surely (the ones) who contravene Allah and His Messenger will be suppressed, even as the ones even before them were suppressed. And We have already sent down signs, supremely evident (signs), and for the disbelievers is a degrading torment |
| Muhammad Sarwar Those who oppose God and His Messenger will be humiliated like those who lived before. We have sent illustrious revelations and those who disbelieve will suffer a humiliating torment |
| Muhammad Taqi Usmani Surely those who oppose Allah and His Messenger shall be disgraced, just as those before them were disgraced. We have sent down clear verses, and for the disbelievers there is a humiliating punishment |
