Quran with British translation - Surah Al-hashr ayat 4 - الحَشر - Page - Juz 28
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ شَآقُّواْ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥۖ وَمَن يُشَآقِّ ٱللَّهَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ﴾
[الحَشر: 4]
﴿ذلك بأنهم شاقوا الله ورسوله ومن يشاق الله فإن الله شديد العقاب﴾ [الحَشر: 4]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir That is because they acted in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, and whoever acts in opposition to Allah, then surely Allah is severe in retributing (evil) |
| Mohammad Shafi That is because they cut themselves off from Allah and His Messenger. And anyone who cuts himself off from Allah — then [that one should know that] Allah is indeed severe in giving punishment |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall That is because they were opposed to Allah and His messenger; and whoso is opposed to Allah, (for him) verily Allah is stern in reprisal |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani That is because they were hostile to Allah and His Messenger. And whoever has hostility with Allah (must know that) Allah is severe in punishment |
