﴿وَلَوۡلَآ أَن كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡجَلَآءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابُ ٱلنَّارِ ﴾
[الحَشر: 3]
﴿ولولا أن كتب الله عليهم الجلاء لعذبهم في الدنيا ولهم في الآخرة﴾ [الحَشر: 3]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And had it not been that Allah had decreed for them the exile, He would certainly have punished them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have chastisement of the fire |
| Mohammad Shafi Had not Allah decreed the exile for them, He would surely have punished them [like those ancient peoples of Noah, AAad and Thamood were] in this world. And they shall [of course] have the punishment by the Fire in the Hereafter |
