﴿مَا قَطَعۡتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوۡ تَرَكۡتُمُوهَا قَآئِمَةً عَلَىٰٓ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيُخۡزِيَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ﴾
[الحَشر: 5]
﴿ما قطعتم من لينة أو تركتموها قائمة على أصولها فبإذن الله وليخزي﴾ [الحَشر: 5]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Whatever palm-tree you cut down or leave standing upon its roots, It is by Allah's command, and that He may abase the transgressors |
Mohammad Shafi The trees you cut down or left standing on their roots — it was all by Allah's leave, so that He might disgrace the depraved ones |
