Quran with British translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 153 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 8
﴿وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِي مُسۡتَقِيمٗا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمۡ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 153]
﴿وأن هذا صراطي مستقيما فاتبعوه ولا تتبعوا السبل فتفرق بكم عن سبيله﴾ [الأنعَام: 153]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And (know) that this is My path, the right one therefore follow it, and follow not (other) ways, for they will lead you away from His way; this He has enjoined you with that you may guard (against evil) |
| Mohammad Shafi And this then is My Straight Path, so follow it. And follow not the paths that alienate you from His Path. This He has enjoined you with, that you may be pious |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And (He commandeth you, saying): This is My straight path, so follow it. Follow not other ways, lest ye be parted from His way. This hath He ordained for you, that ye may ward off (evil) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani And: This is My path that is straightforward. So, follow it, and do not follow the (other) ways, lest they should make you deviate from His way. This is what He has enjoined upon you, so that you may be God-fearing.” |
| Muhammad Asad And [know] that this is the way leading straight unto Me: follow it, then, and follow not other ways, lest they cause you to deviate from His way. [All] this has He enjoined upon you, so that you might remain conscious of Him |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali And that this is My Path, a straight (one); so follow it closely and do not follow the (other) ways, or then they would make you part away from His way. That (Literally: those "rules") is what He has enjoined you with, that possibly you would be pious |

| N J Dawood This path of Mine is straight. Follow it and do not follow other paths, for they will lead you away from His path. Thus does He exhort you, so that you may fear Him |
| Safi Kaskas This is My Straight Path; Follow it, and do not follow any other way, because it will cause you to deviate from it. This is what He commands you, so that you will be mindful of Him |
