﴿وَقَالَ يَٰبَنِيَّ لَا تَدۡخُلُواْ مِنۢ بَابٖ وَٰحِدٖ وَٱدۡخُلُواْ مِنۡ أَبۡوَٰبٖ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٖۖ وَمَآ أُغۡنِي عَنكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَيۡءٍۖ إِنِ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِۖ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُۖ وَعَلَيۡهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 67]
﴿وقال يابني لا تدخلوا من باب واحد وادخلوا من أبواب متفرقة وما﴾ [يُوسُف: 67]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Further he said, “O my sons, do not enter all through one gate. Enter through different gates. Not that I can help you over God. None can determine anything except for God. On Him do I put my trust, and let all who trust, put their trust in Him.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And he said: my sons, do not enter from one gate, but enter from different gates, I cannot be of any use to you at all against God, as the rule only belongs to God, I put my trust in Him, and those who trust should put their trust in Him |
| Ali Quli Qarai And he said, ‘My sons, do not enter by one gate, but enter by separate gates, though I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Sovereignty belongs only to Allah. In Him I have put my trust; and in Him let all the trusting put their trust.’ |
| Ali Unal He said (by way of advice at the time of their departure): "O my sons! Do not enter the city by one gate (in a single company), but enter by different gates. Yet I can be of no avail whatever to you against anything God wills. Judgment and authority rest with none but God alone. In Him have I put my trust, and whoever would entrust themselves should put their trust in Him |
| Hamid S Aziz And he said further, "O my sons! Enter not by one gate, but enter by several gates. Not that I can avail you aught against Allah. Lo! Judgment (decision, command) rests only with Allah. In Him do I put my trust, and on Him do the trusting rely |
| John Medows Rodwell And he said, "O, my sons! Enter not by one gate, but enter by different gates. Yet can I not help you against aught decreed by God: judgment belongeth to God alone. In Him put I my trust, and in Him let the trusting trust |
| Literal And he said: "You my sons, do not enter from one door/entrance, and enter from separate doors/entrances, and I do not suffice/enrich from you from God from a thing, that the judgment/rule (is) except to God, on Him (E) I relied/depended , and on Him so should rely/depend the reliant/dependent |
| Mir Anees Original And he said, “O my sons ! (all of you) do not enter through one gate but enter through different gates, and nothing from Allah can be kept away from you by me, the decision is no one’s but Allah’s, in Him do I put my trust and therefore, let all those who trust, put their trust in Him.” |
