Quran with English translation - Surah Al-‘Ankabut ayat 31 - العَنكبُوت - Page - Juz 20
﴿وَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُنَآ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا مُهۡلِكُوٓاْ أَهۡلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِۖ إِنَّ أَهۡلَهَا كَانُواْ ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 31]
﴿ولما جاءت رسلنا إبراهيم بالبشرى قالوا إنا مهلكو أهل هذه القرية إن﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 31]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al When Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news they said, “We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township, for truly they are addicted to sin.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said: indeed we are destroyers of this town's people, for its people are wrongdoers |
Ali Quli Qarai And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said, ‘We are indeed going to destroy the people of this town. Its people are indeed wrongdoers.’ |
Ali Unal And so, when Our (heavenly) envoys came to Abraham with the glad tidings (of the birth of Isaac), they said to him: "We are going to destroy the people of that township. For its people are wrongdoers (who exceed all bounds in indecency) |
Hamid S Aziz And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said, "We are about to destroy the people of these cities. Verily, the people thereof are evil-doers |

Literal And when Our messengers, came (to) Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are (E), we are perishing/destroying , this the village`s/urban cities` people , that (E) its people were unjust/oppressive |
Mir Anees Original And when Our messengers came to Ibrahim with good news, they said, “We are going to destroy the people of this town, its people are certainly unjust.” |
