Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nisa’ ayat 74 - النِّسَاء - Page - Juz 5
﴿۞ فَلۡيُقَٰتِلۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشۡرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَمَن يُقَٰتِلۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَيُقۡتَلۡ أَوۡ يَغۡلِبۡ فَسَوۡفَ نُؤۡتِيهِ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 74]
﴿فليقاتل في سبيل الله الذين يشرون الحياة الدنيا بالآخرة ومن يقاتل في﴾ [النِّسَاء: 74]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Let those fight in the cause of God, who sell the life of the present for the hereafter. To him who fights in the cause of God, whether he is slain or is victorious, soon We will give him a reward of immense value |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So those who sell this world's life for the hereafter should fight in God's way, and whoever fights in God's way, whether he is killed or he is victorious, then We will give him a great reward |
| Ali Quli Qarai Let those who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the way of Allah; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, and then is slain, or he subdues [the enemy], We shall soon give him a great reward |
| Ali Unal So let those who trade the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in God’s cause. Whoever fights in God’s cause, whether he is killed or victorious, We will grant him a tremendous reward |
| Hamid S Aziz Let those then fight in Allah´s way who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter; and whoever fights in Allah´s way, then, be he killed or be he victorious, We will give him a mighty reward |
| John Medows Rodwell Let those then fight on the path of God, who barter this present life for that which is to come; for whoever fighteth on God's path, whether he be slain or conquer, we will in the end give him a great reward |
| Literal So those who volunteer the present world/worldly life with the end (other life) should fight/kill in God`s sake, and who fights/kills in God`s sake, so he is killed or he defeats/conquers, so We will give him a great reward |
| Mir Anees Original Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah who sell this world's life for the (life) of the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then whether he is slain or is victorious We will give him a great reward (for his effort) |
