Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nisa’ ayat 73 - النِّسَاء - Page - Juz 5
﴿وَلَئِنۡ أَصَٰبَكُمۡ فَضۡلٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لَيَقُولَنَّ كَأَن لَّمۡ تَكُنۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُۥ مَوَدَّةٞ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ مَعَهُمۡ فَأَفُوزَ فَوۡزًا عَظِيمٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 73]
﴿ولئن أصابكم فضل من الله ليقولن كأن لم تكن بينكم وبينه مودة﴾ [النِّسَاء: 73]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al But if good fortune comes to you from God they would be sure to say, as if there had never been ties of affection between you and them, “Oh, I wish I had been with them, a great success would I have made of it.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And if God’s grace happens to you, he shall say as if there was no friendship between you and him: I wish I was with them so I would achieve a great victory |
| Ali Quli Qarai But should a bounty from Allah come to you, he will say—as if there were no [tie of friendship and] affection between you and him—‘I wish I were with them so that I had achieved a great success!’ |
| Ali Unal But if some bounty from God comes to you, he is sure to say – just as if there had never been any tie of affection between you and him, (and therefore as if there had been an obstacle to his going forth with you) – "Oh, if only I had been with them, I would have come by a great gain |
| Hamid S Aziz But if a fortune from Allah befalls you, they would surely say - as though there were no friendship between you and them - "O would that I had been with you, then I would have achieved a great success |
| John Medows Rodwell But if a success from God betide you, he will say, as if there had never been any friendship between you and him, "Would I had been with them! a rich prize should I have won |
| Literal And if (E) grace/blessing from God struck you, he will say (E) as if love/affection/friendship was not between you (P), and between him: "Oh, if only I were with them, so I succeed/win a great success/winning/triumph |
| Mir Anees Original And if (something) graceful befalls you from Allah, he would definitely say, as if there had been no love (acquaintance) between you and him, "Oh ! I wish I had been with them, then I (too) would have achieved a great achievement |
