Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Fath ayat 26 - الفَتح - Page - Juz 26
﴿إِذۡ جَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَأَلۡزَمَهُمۡ كَلِمَةَ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ وَكَانُوٓاْ أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهۡلَهَاۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٗا ﴾
[الفَتح: 26]
﴿إذ جعل الذين كفروا في قلوبهم الحمية حمية الجاهلية فأنـزل الله سكينته﴾ [الفَتح: 26]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al While the unbelievers had in their hearts distain, distain of ignorance, God sent down His tranquility to His messenger and to the believers, and made them adhere to the command of self-restraint, and they were well entitled to it and worthy of it, and God has full knowledge of all things |
| Hamid S Aziz When those who disbelieved harboured in their heart feelings of agitation and disdain - the agitation and disdain of the Days of Ignorance - Allah sent down His tranquillity on His Messenger and on the believers, and made them adhere to the Word (or comma) |
