And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but

﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴾
[القَمَر: 36]
