Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Anfal ayat 13 - الأنفَال - Page - Juz 9
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ شَآقُّواْ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥۚ وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ﴾
[الأنفَال: 13]
﴿ذلك بأنهم شاقوا الله ورسوله ومن يشاقق الله ورسوله فإن الله شديد﴾ [الأنفَال: 13]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al This is because they contended against God and His messenger. If any contend against God and His messenger, God is strict in punishment |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad That is because they opposed God and His messenger, and whoever opposes God and His messenger, then indeed God is severe in punishment |
| Ali Quli Qarai That, because they defied Allah and His Apostle. And whoever defies Allah and His Apostle, Allah is indeed severe in retribution |
| Ali Unal Do so because they defied God and His Messenger." Whoever defies God and His Messenger: (let everyone know that) God is severe in retribution |
| Hamid S Aziz This is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger; for he who goes into opposition against Allah and His Messenger, verily, Allah is strict in punishment |
| John Medows Rodwell This, because they have opposed God and his apostle: And whoso shall oppose God and his apostle. . . . Verily, God will be severe in punishment |
| Literal That (is) because they (E) defied/disobeyed God and His messenger, and who defies/disobeys God and His messenger, so then God (is) strong (severe in) the punishment |
