﴿قَالَ يَٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيۡسَ مِنۡ أَهۡلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيۡرُ صَٰلِحٖۖ فَلَا تَسۡـَٔلۡنِ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌۖ إِنِّيٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ ﴾
[هُود: 46]
﴿قال يانوح إنه ليس من أهلك إنه عمل غير صالح فلا تسألن﴾ [هُود: 46]
| Shabbir Ahmed His Lord said, "O Noah! Your son was not of your family. His conduct was not righteous. You were not aware of the Divine Criterion of relationships which are based on Ideology and not on lineage otherwise you wouldn't have asked such a question. I enlighten you so that you don't remain ignorant in this regard |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed He (Allah) said: "O Nuh (Noah)! He (your son) is not of your family: Surely, his conduct is not righteous. So do not ask from Me, that about which you have no knowledge! I give you advice, in case you act like one who does not know |
