﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِمۡ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيۡنَا نَصۡرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 47]
﴿ولقد أرسلنا من قبلك رسلا إلى قومهم فجاءوهم بالبينات فانتقمنا من الذين﴾ [الرُّوم: 47]
| Shabbir Ahmed And indeed, We did send Messengers before you to their respective people - and they brought them clear evidence of the Truth. And then, We (Our Law of Requital) inflicted Our retribution on those who stole the fruit of others' labor and violated human rights. And We have made it incumbent upon Us to help the believers |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed And indeed, before you (O Prophet!), We did send (other) messengers to their (own) peoples, they came to them with (clear) proofs: Then, for those who exceeded their limits, We gave out harsh punishments: And it was due from Us to help those who believed |
