﴿أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۖ فَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 9]
﴿أم اتخذوا من دونه أولياء فالله هو الولي وهو يحيي الموتى وهو﴾ [الشُّوري: 9]
| Shabbir Ahmed Or have they chosen patrons besides Him? But Allah, He alone is the Patron, since it is He alone Who revives the dead. (And His Laws can revive the dead of heart). He is the Appointer of due measure for all things |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed Or, have they taken (for worship) protectors beside Him? But it is Allah— He is Alone, the Protector (Al-Wali) and it is He Who gives life to the dead (Hai’i): And it is He Who has Power (Khadir) over all things |
