﴿أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۖ فَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 9]
﴿أم اتخذوا من دونه أولياء فالله هو الولي وهو يحيي الموتى وهو﴾ [الشُّوري: 9]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al What, have they taken for worship protectors besides Him? But it is God, He is the Protector, and it is He Who gives life to the dead. It is He Who has power over all things |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Or did they take protectors other than God? Whereas God is the protector and He gives life to the dead and He is capable of everything |
| Ali Quli Qarai Have they taken awliya besides Him? [Say,] ‘It is Allah, who is the [true] Wali, and He revives the dead, and He has power over all things |
| Ali Unal What? Have they taken for themselves other besides God for guardians and confidants (to whom they entrust their affairs, thereby associating partners with Him)? Rather, God is He Who is the true Guardian, and He will revive the dead, and He has full power over everything |
| Hamid S Aziz Or have they taken guardians besides Him? But Allah, He is the Guardian, and He gives life to the dead, and He has power over all things |
| John Medows Rodwell Will they take other patrons than Him? But God is man's only Lord: He quickeneth the dead; and He is mighty over all things |
| Literal Or they took from other than Him guardians/allies , so God, He is the guardian/ally , and He revives/makes alive the deads, and He is on every thing capable/able |
