﴿قَالَ يَٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيۡسَ مِنۡ أَهۡلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيۡرُ صَٰلِحٖۖ فَلَا تَسۡـَٔلۡنِ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌۖ إِنِّيٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ ﴾
[هُود: 46]
﴿قال يانوح إنه ليس من أهلك إنه عمل غير صالح فلا تسألن﴾ [هُود: 46]
| Abdel Haleem God said, ‘Noah, he was not one of your family. What he did was not right. Do not ask Me for things you know nothing about. I am warning you not to be foolish.’ |
| Abdul Hye He replied: “O Noah! Surely, he is not of your family; surely his work is not righteous. So don’t ask Me anything of which you have no knowledge! Indeed I admonish you, lest you become one of the ignorant.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali He said: "O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi He said: O Nuh! verily he is not of thy household; verily he is of unrighteous Conduct; wherefore ask Me not that whereof thou hast no knowledge; verily I exhort thee not to be of the ignorants |
